The Mainframe is a Hackspace in Oldenburg. It provides a meeting place for persons interested in engineering, computer science and similar topics. At the Mainframe we are »hacking« together. This term is understood as exploration of technical, social and political systems concerning potentials and limits.

The Mainframe provides on approximately 1200 square meters the required infrastructure: A conference room for working and Talks, a Lounge for chilling, a Wood- and Metall workshop, a workshop for electronics, a kitchen and some more multi-purpose rooms.

The rooms are usually opened by no later than 19:00 (often earlier) and visitors - especially from other hackspaces - are always welcome.
